* The New Orleans Fringe Festival generously welcomed 24 kids, volunteers and friends of RUBARB to one of their performances. The circus arts performers in The Button Wagon amazed us, and boggled our minds, with their tricks of contortion, balance and optical illusions. Thanks so much to the Fringe coordinators and volunteers for the tickets and extra special accommodations, we throughly enjoyed ourselves!
* RUBARB went to the 2011 NOLA Book fair and had a blast! We talked to vendors about their books, we made some books and we saw an amazing puppet show!
*We had a pirate-themed alley cat to raise funds for RUBARB!! About 40 riders started and about 33 made it to the finish line at the shop. Pirate bicycle booty handed out to all the winners!!
*Once again, RUBARB invaded the 6 to 9 parade. Fun, facepaint and way too much candy had by all.
*RUBARB's grand re-opening party was a great success! A lot of old and new faces stopped by to partake in great food, a bounce castle, spontaneous relay bike races, the Swamp Lillies and a bike auction! Big thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.
