*on july 24, RUBARB visited the Alvar branch library for a musical storytelling hour.  we learned about accordians, ukeleles, and contributed important details to a re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood.  Afterwards, we enjoyed pizza, prizes and free books!

*RUBARB held a "repair-a-thon" and farewell party, to thank St Mary's for hosting us all these years and celebrate an end of an era!  we fixed up a bunch of bikes, ate great food, held raffles, and had a drum circle hosted by project rising.  thanks to all that helped, attended, participated!

*RUBARB took a crew to the zoo for the "Poetry Debut"--  poetry was installed all around the zoo, right by the various exhibits and animals.  We strolled around, watched the creatures, pet some animals, and played in a torrential downpour.  Thanks to the New Orleans Public LIbrary for the free tickets!

*3 RUBARB kids got to experience the 1st annual bike rodeo, which taught them about bike safety, hand signals, and road signs.  A bicycle 2nd line passed us by and we ended the day with natural frozen pops at the Crescent City Farmers Market.  yum!
